Are you a wineaux?

Are you a wineaux?  If you are, don't worry.  It's not a bad thing.  In fact, it's a good thing.  It simply means that you know wine, enjoy wine and on occasion may even drink too much wine.  After all, a glass of wine a day keeps the doctor away; or is that an apple a day?  I digress.  Did you know we have 14 wineries in the Spokane Region?  14!  I had no idea.  This means you can taste at a new and different winery every day for two weeks!  I'm a newbie to wine culture, but I have to say that Spokane is churning out some great wines.  My favorite so far would have to be Vintage Hill Cellar's Merlot Rosé.  Vintner Cody George and his crew are doing a fantastic job!  Coming in a close second is Townshend Cellar's Red Table.  But enough about me; do you consider yourself a wineaux?  What's your favorite Spokane wine of choice?

Spokane wines ROCK! I'm particularly partial to the reds. Here are a few of my faves:
~ Townshend Cellar's T3 and Vortex
~ Arbor Crest Wine Cellar's Dionysis
~ Whitestone Winery's Pieces of Red
~ Any red from Barrister (love their Rough Justice, and not just cuz it has a great name!)

I haven't had the pleasure of tasting much of Robert Karl Cellar's wine, but I hear they have some outstanding reds. They are next on my tasting list!

I too am proud to be a wineaux. As my family is relocating to Spokane in June, I am looking forward to discovering the bounty of the area's wines.

I recommend Robert Karl Claret. Love at first sip.
