Chase Gallery

The Chase Gallery is a community art exhibition space adjacent to the City Council Chambers in the Spokane City Hall. It features a wide range of exhibitions by local and regional artists from contemporary to traditional.  The visitors to the Chase Gallery include art aficionados, citizens, tourists, and inadvertent art viewers coming to meetings and to conduct city business.  Gallery hours are weekdays 8 am. to 5 pm and throughout the City Council Meetings on Monday evenings. Please consider the public nature of the audience and the exhibition space.

Explorations XIV

January 6, 2015 - March 30, 2015

A group exhibition will be displayed featuring the work of art department students nominated by faculty at area colleges including: Whitworth, Gonzaga, SFCC, and North Idaho College. Three students from each school will be selected to showcase and represent the quality of art being developed in each department.

An artist reception will be held on Friday, February 6th, from 5 to 9 p.m. in conjunction with First Friday.




  April 1– June 30, 2015

Landmarks is an exhibition focused on the importance of time and place, a celebration of Spokane's unique history, and an examination of our community's milestones and the markers that preserve our memory of them.
This is a collaborative exhibit between the visual and literary arts. Artists and writers will team up in pairs to create this theme specific work.

An artist reception will be held, Friday, April 3, 2015, 5 to 9 p.m. in conjunction with First Friday.

A reading program of Get Lit! will be held on Tuesday April 21st at 6pm in the Chase Gallery.


All Media Juried Exhibition

July 1st – Sept 29th, 2015

Spokane Arts announces an open call to all visual artists in our region for a juried group exhibition at the Chase Gallery in Spokane, Washington. Eligibility is regional including Northern Idaho, Eastern Washington and Western Montana. Submissions will be juried by Ryan Hardesty, Curator of Art and Exhibitions at Washington State University Museum of Art. Entries of artwork in all media will be considered within the specified guidelines. It will be held in the Chase Gallery from July 1st - September 29th, 2015.

An artist reception will be held on Friday, August 7th, 2015, 5 p.m-9 p.m in conjunction with First Friday.



Propose an Exhibit


 A programming committee meets monthly to consider exhibit proposals from the public. The committee is a formation of arts commissioners and local arts professionals who volunteer their time. Exhibitions must be suitable for display to the public. Submissions can be made in a comprehensive PDF including proposal and images. Email to: austin@spokanearts.org
