Summer is underway and our visitor counts are way up!  We attribute part of the number increase to the visitor information kiosk being located in River Park Square, a steady foot traffic location. The new mobile visitor center, ACE (see below!), made its debut at Hoopfest, and we're excited another visitor information kiosk will soon be in place at the Spokane Valley Mall.

Summer travel is expected to be strong and we are making visitor information and visitor services easier to find.

Drum roll please...ACE, the mobile visitor information center, has arrived! After making its debut at Hoopfest, ACE will be touring regional events this summer sharing information about Spokane with visitors. The photo-wrapped vehicle is managed by our brand new Visitor Engagement Specialist, Melissa Skomer-Kafton, and includes brochures, visitor guides, maps and more. Follow ACE on Twitter at @VisitSpokaneACE for updates.

The 2014 CESSE (Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives) Annual Meeting will be held in Spokane July 15-17, with approximately 350 attendees. In addition to education-filled sessions over the course of two days, the conference will also have an opening reception at The Davenport Hotel and a dance party closing reception at the Spokane Convention Center.
