Visit Spokane Developing New Strategic Marketing Plan
Public Invited to Attend Meetings and Provide Input

(June 16, 2015) Visit Spokane, the region's private, non-profit destination marketing organization (DMO), plans two community input sessions focusing on the organization's strategic marketing plan for 2015-2016.

The Strategic Planning Community Input Sessions will be held Tuesday, June 30 at the Red Lion Hotel at the Park, 303 W. North River Dr., Spokane, WA 99201. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the first session, 1-2:30 p.m., or the second session, 3-4:30 p.m.

The focus of the input sessions is attracting visitation to the Spokane region through meetings, conventions and leisure travel.

"We want to work with members of the business community, as well as the public at large, to share strategy toward a common ground for the messaging coming from our region," said Cheryl Kilday, Visit Spokane President & CEO. "By working together, we can assemble the building blocks that will help us all amplify a unified message."

Each year, Visit Spokane holds community input sessions for its strategic marketing plan.

"The Spokane region is growing and new businesses that attract visitors are becoming part of our community fabric," said Kilday. "We want to make sure to be as inclusive as possible as we strategize toward positioning the destination to the rest of the country."

Anyone is welcome to attend the sessions. An RSVP is not mandatory, but Visit Spokane is asking that those planning to attend please call Jody Chambers at (509) 472-9386 or email so we may plan for appropriate seating.
