Visit Spokane's Big Meeting to Address the
Power of a Shared Destination Story
Brand Summit to follow brings leaders together to create a joint community narrative
Visit Spokane will host The Big Meeting, the organization's annual meeting and marketing outlook forum, on September 23 at the Spokane Convention Center. This year's meeting will address the topic of "Telling Our Destination Story."
Matthew Kruchko, Managing Director at Applied Storytelling, will give the keynote presentation about the power of creating a shared community narrative. Matthew has helped destinations and Fortune 500 companies - from Calgary to Detroit to Jose Cuervo - realize their brands' business potential.
"This is a unique opportunity to bring the Spokane region's strategic business and industry leaders together to develop and share our destination story to build business, recruit employees and position the destination for tourism," said Cheryl Kilday, President & CEO of Visit Spokane. "It is important that we all work together to share the same narrative and create a stronger, collective brand presence for the Spokane region."
"The Big Meeting will be followed by two successive Brand Summit workshops to explore common threads and challenges for the community and region and to begin the process of building our shared destination story," said Kilday.
