Top 14 Places to Kiss In Spokane - #1

I like to kiss as much as the next guy or girl.  So naturally, when I see a book that's sole purpose is to expose the "best places to kiss in the Pacific Northwest" I pick it up and turn straight to the Spokane page.  Imagine my shock and dismay when no such page exists.  Are you kidding me?!  Apparently some people think Spokane is to kissing as prohibition is to drinking.  Do they honestly think people in Spokane practice smooching celibacy?  Or that there are no romantic vistas or locales that warrant a mention?

So here's what I did.  I sacrificed so that your romantic relationships may flourish.  Through countless hours of in-depth, hands on research, I have compiled a list of the 14 BEST places to lock lips in Spokane.  Why 14 you ask?  Because I want you to respond with your favorite spot to complete the list of 15!  Great idea - I know?!  But don't think I'm going to give you all 14 at once.  That would be way too much for one person to handle!  You're going to get them one by one.

And in case you're wondering, yes, I did lay a big wet one on Lauran at each and every one of these places.  Credibility is key!  Now grab your Chap Stick, breath mints and that special someone, and start kissing your way through the Top 14 Places to Kiss in Spokane.

Numbered but in no particular order . . .

1.  Manito Park Rose Hill Garden:  Fellas, I'm talking straight to you on this one.  Women love roses.  I don't know what it is about them, but it gets them thinking about romance.  Now let's do the math.  If a dozen roses, or for that matter one rose, can get you in good graces, imagine what would happen with a hill-top kiss surrounded by 150 different varieties of roses.  Think that over for a little bit.  My recommendation - head to Rose Hill mid-summer when the roses are in bloom for a fragrant kiss she won't soon forget.

How did you know I love roses...I hope my man is reading ....spokaneman you are the best!

Nicole, great question! I was waiting to see how long it would take someone to inquire about those exact points. So pat yourself on the back, you win! The great thing about writing my own blog is that I can be opinionated. As such, the places I picked are solely based on my own experiences and opinions. No complex studies. No surveys. No rankings. No focus groups (unless you count myself and my research partner as a focus group). As far as which locale trumps another, I think they're all pretty close save my favorite one. But you'll have to wait to find out which one that is:) Of course, my opinion of "best" probably differs from the majority of people so I hope to get some good feedback. Can I count on hearing about your favorite spots?

I'm curious how you decided these places were the best. Did you have a focus group or some sort of complex study that decided which place trumped another?

I think you just called me traditional. I'm insulted. ;)

Actually, one of my favorite Spokane kisses was while riding the carousel during First Night. Nothing like taking aim while alternately bobbing up and down on a pretty pony.

First, SimplyComplexSpokanite, great suggestion! However, I only wanted to do one from Manito Park. And being untraditional like I am, I thought I'd try something besides the Duncan Gardens.

Second, Cruiser, another great suggestion! So great in fact that you might see it later on as one of the 14. Wait, did I just foreshadow?

Remember to keep checking in!

How about the Spokane Falls Skyride? You can't beat a breathtaking view above the Spokane Falls while you're locking lips.

I'd contest that the duncan gardens at Manito might beat out the rose garden... you can't beat the feeling of privacy provided by the gazebo, tall hedges, and the sound of the fountain running...

I'm just saying.
