I'll keep this brief: 30 craft breweries. 100 different types of beer. Outfield of Avista Stadium.
Sounds awesome, right? The Inland Northwest Craft Beer Festival is the largest craft beer event in eastern Washington. Tickets are only $20 in advance ($25 at the door) and admission gets you a commemorative tasting glass and six samples.
If you're still not convinced, here's what local brewers have to say about the event:
"This is hands down the best craft beer festival in the region. Whether you're new to the craft beer scene or a seasoned beer geek, I guarantee there will be beers there you've never had before and maybe some breweries you may not have tried yet. Nearly all the breweries in the region are attending this year, bringing their most popular offerings in addition to many one-of-a-kind, limited release, or barrel-aged offerings. You have the option to use your tokens for partial glasses, so you can try them all! Ok, maybe not all of them unless you can get your friends to share their tastes too. "
-Heather Brandt, Iron Goat Brewing
"Spokane craft brewing is earning local, regional and national attention for brewing some of the best beers in America. We are innovating, creating and supporting Spokane beer culture, living wage jobs and a deep sense of home town pride. Spokane craft brewers can hang with any brewing city in America! " -John Bryant, No-Li Brewhouse
"The Inland Northwest Craft Beer Festival is the perfect opportunity for someone living in this area to experience the exciting and quickly expanding craft beer scene here on the east side of the state. Tons of local breweries will be on hand, as well as some outstanding breweries from the west side. And with Avista Stadium as our new home for the festival, it'll be a great couple days to taste all kinds of diverse, handcrafted brews."
- Christy Lukes, Perry Street Brewing
"People should attend the Craft Beer Festival because it's the one time of year that all the regional breweries get together in one place and at one time. We all bring special beers, some one-time beers and most people are bringing some barrel-aged or other limited quantity beers that this festival will be the one time you will get to try them, so even if people are familiar with all of the local offerings, there will be new things to sample. In addition, this year we are moving to a new location that should work really well for people to be able to find and visit all of the breweries. And speaking of breweries, the line-up includes a number of west-side or central Washington breweries who are making their sole appearance in Spokane at this event."
-Gage Stromberg, River City Brewing
