Officially incorporated in 2003, the City of Spokane Valley features a rare combination of quality neighborhoods and schools, strong businesses and retail centers, exceptional outdoor beauty and top notch facilities. With an estimated population of 88,920 (WA State OFM, 2008), Spokane Valley is the 7th largest city in Washington State. Even more impressive, Spokane Valley was the largest incorporation in the state and the second largest single incorporation in US history at the time!
Home to several major auto dealerships, Spokane Valley Mall and the majority of the region’s industrial companies, Spokane Valley is home to some 6,000 businesses with estimated annual retail sales of some $56,000,000. And with three of the region’s finest facilities in Avista Stadium, CenterPlace and the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center, Spokane Valley is also a great place to meet and be entertained.

Recreation is right at home in Spokane Valley. Mirabeau Park, the crown jewel of Spokane Valley’s parks system, features waterfalls, expansive green space and trails for hiking. The Spokane Centennial Trail boasts 37 miles of paved path along the Spokane River for walking, biking, in-line skating or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the area.

Continuing their efforts to improve the city, Spokane Valley is engaging in a revitalization of the Sprague/Appleway corridor in an effort to create a thriving residential and commercial district. This effort is simply another example of the commitment Spokane Valley has to the growth and beautification of their city and the Spokane region as a whole.
