Be a Tourism Star!

Earn a Certification as a Tourism Ambassador

  • Build Your Resume
  • Network with Your Peers
  • Stay In the Know

What is it?
This dynamic nationally-recognized program inspires and educates frontline hospitality employees and volunteers to turn every visitor encounter into a positive, well-informed experience.

How can you become a CTA?
Certified Tourism AmbassadorsTM(CTAs) become certified by completing a four-hour class in addition to approximately 5-10 hours of pre-course preparation. Once you are certified you can transfer your certification to any city you move to that has the CTA Program. The class is $25 per person.

What will be covered in the CTA Class?
The four-hour class is customized for the Spokane region. Learn about the power of tourism, discover our fascinating region including history and attractions and other areas of interest to visitors, as well as how to find and use resources. Go from good to great in exceeding customer expectations. Become the "go-to" person on your staff!

How can you enroll in a CTA Class?
Enrolling in a CTA class is easy and takes about five minutes. Visit www.ctanetwork.com and click on Schedule of Classes. Is your business interested in hosting a CTA class? Find out more by calling Gina Mauro at 744.3340 or emailing gmaurocampbell@visitspokane.com.
