A Star is Born!

This is going to be hard!  There are so many of you doing a fantastic job out there.  Thank you!  It's time  to find that special super star and give him or her some serious props!  The "Spokane Star Award" is an award that will be given to one Spokane CTA annually at the CVB's Annual Tourism Awards.  Here are the characteristics of an exceptional CTA:

• Is dedicated to their employer and city, sees work as more than a "job"
• Asks and listens to start the visitor relationship, puts people at ease and truly helps them
• Makes visitors smile even when they've had a frustrating travel day
• Is knowledgeable about the region and what's going on, uses information as their tool
• Treats visitors as if it's the first time they heard the question even if they have heard it 1000 times
• Understands the big picture of tourism and encourages others to become CTAs
• Smiles and has fun

Do you know a CTA like this?  Local winner will automatically be entered to win the national "CTA OF THE YEAR" award.  The winner of the national award will receive a Crystalline Star Plaque as well as two airline tickets to anywhere American airlines flies in the continental U.S. and two nights lodging!
