The Spokane Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau (Spokane Regional CVB) has implemented this policy in an effort to demonstrate our strong commitment to online privacy. This policy details how we gather, use and protect the information that we collect from our Web site, located at www.visitspokane.com. This policy may change over time and will be effective when posted. Your continued use of this site following the posting of any amendment or change will constitute your acceptance of such change.

Spokane Regional CVB does not sell or rent any personal data you provide to us to any third parties. We respect the privacy of users visiting our site and, except as otherwise set forth below or required by law, we will not share your personal data with anyone else. Policy

Requests for Information, Newsletters, Surveys, Contests
If a site visitor requests information or wishes to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information (such as name and e-mail address). From time to time, we request information via surveys and contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the site visitor therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose the requested information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and address) and demographic information (such as age and zip code). Contact information collected for contests will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used to better understand our visitors, and to improve this site.

Security
This Web site takes every precaution to protect our site visitors' information. Sensitive information submitted via the Web site is protected both online and offline. When a registration/order form asks for sensitive information (such as a credit card number), that information is protected with the best encryption software in the industry-SSL. We also take measures to protect information offline. Access to all collected information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific task are granted access to personally identifiable information.

Credit Card Information
If you choose to purchase products or services from us or our partners, you may need to give personal information and authorization to obtain information from various credit services. For example, you may need to provide the following information:

Credit card number
Home and business phone number

Information is collected at the time of a sale in order to complete the sale and deliver the products.
 
Credit Card Transactions 
Spokane Regional CVB meets all Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data security requirements. All members, merchants, vendors, and service providers that store, process or transmit cardholder data while doing business with the CVB are held to these requirements. Additionally, to the extent permitted by applicable law, these security requirements apply to all "system components" which is defined as any network component, server, or application included in, or connected to, the cardholder data environment. Network components, include, but are not limited to, firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points, network appliances, and other security appliances. Servers include, but are not limited to, web, database, authentication, DNS, mail, proxy, and NTP. Applications include all purchased and custom applications, including internal and external (web) applications.

Refund/Cancellation Policy on Credit Card Transactions for Events
For cancellations received via telephone or in person up to 24 hours prior to pre-paid CVB events, purchasing card will be credited within 14 business days.  No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to event starting time.
 
Choice/Opt-out
The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page and shared with other reputable organizations to help them contact consumers for marketing purposes. It is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. Information pieces we send out include, but are not limited to: The Spokane Regional Visitors Guide, VisitSpokane Map, Visitor brochures, electronic newsletters, etc. 
If you do not want to information from the Spokane Regional CVB via e-mail, mail or any other source, please let us know by sending us an e-mail at parnterservices@visitspokane.com. Customers may prevent their information from being used for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected by emailing us at partnerservices@visitspokane.com

We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, this page will be updated to reflect the changes so our site visitors are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

IP addresses
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track movement through out the site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual.

Spokane Regional CVB is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites. Users are encouraged to read and become familiar with the privacy policies maintained by such other Web sites.

Information of Minors and Children
Spokane Regional CVB does not seek to collect information from children under the age of 18.  If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any information to us or ask us to e-mail you.  If you are the parent or guardian of a person under the age of 18 who has provided information to us, please contact us and we will remove such information from our database.
