Spokane All-City Jazz Ensembles

  • Overview
  • Spokane All-City Jazz Ensembles is a non-profit organization created to provide additional opportunities in a creative experience for middle school and high school instrumental students through jazz. The musical and leadership skills gained can be shared with the students? school music programs. Through ensembles, classes, private instruction, guest artists, master classes, and performances, students in the All-City Jazz Program have many opportunities to grown and learn. The high school program has a four concert season and the middle school program has a two concert season. Concerts include a guest artist concert and a holiday concert. The ensembles are constructed as small groups, allowing for a better staff/student ratio. This also helps students to gain more experience in improvising which builds confidence and strengthens their knowledge of music theory.
