United Airlines Adds Two Non-Stop Flights
Posted: February 06, 2009

The Spokane International Airport (GEG) announced today that United Airlines will add two non-stop flights to San Francisco International Airport beginning June 4, 2009. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, February 7, according to a press release from Spokane International
Airport.

San Francisco/Spokane

United Express Flights operated by SkyWest will be on 66-seat Canadair 700 and 50-seat Canadair 200 regional jets, according to the release.

The departures/arrivals are as follows:

Depart Spokane 6am; arrive San Francisco 7:55am
Depart Spokane 3:22pm; arrive San Francisco 5:11pm

Depart San Francisco 12:54pm; arrive Spokane 2:50pm
Depart San Francisco 10pm; arrive Spokane 11:57pm

Last Non-Stop Service in 2001

Spokane last enjoyed non-stop service to San Francisco in 2001, according to the release.

"In an era of economic uncertainty, we are delighted that United Airlines has responded so favorably to our region's need for connectivity to San Francisco," commented Neal Sealock, Airport Director, Spokane International Airport. "The daily service will allow for more efficient business travel and connections to major domestic and international commercial centers. Now the challenge is for our travelers to reward United for their risk and investment and actively utilize these new flights."

Better Access

"How are we going to get there?' is the first question a convention group asks after booking Spokane," said Spokane Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau President & CEO Harry Sladich. "These flights are an answer to that question."
