Green Meetings
Spokane Convention Center

There's a reason you've come to this page. It may be because you are interested in meeting in Spokane. Or because you desire to learn more about our green practices. Here at the Spokane CVB, we know that green meetings are as important to Spokane as implementing sustainable practices in our community. That's why we are working so hard to put together a website that lays out what makes Spokane a green place to meet, visit and live.

Here are a few tips to encourage your next meeting to be a green one:
  • Pick a meeting location that has all amenities (meeting venues, restaurants, shopping and hotels) within walking distance.
  • Use paperless technology by offering electronic registration and providing meeting materials in a PDF format for attendees to view on a laptop computer or smart phone.
  • Re-use banners and meeting signage when possible.
  • Offer refreshments in pitchers to reduce the amount of plastic used.
  • Place recycling bins near the exit of meeting rooms to encourage recycling.
