Would we have the largest road race in the world?
Not likely.

Would we have the largest three on three tournament in the world?
No way.

Would we be expanding our convention center, airport, the Fair and Expo Center and contemplating a science center?
No, indeed.

Would we have over 200 regional and national conventions hosted here annually?
No, we wouldn't even have one.

Would any business or for that matter any person ever move to our area?
Not likely.

Would Spokane hold the record for the most tickets ever sold at a US Figure Skating Championship?
Not a chance.

The reality is that there is much to enjoy in the Inland Northwest. Many of those attributes, like parks, museums, restaurants, hotels, shops, etc. depend on visitor dollars. Visitors help make it possible for our community to have the vibrant cultural life, attractions, and events we all enjoy.

The Tourism Industry is important and it is worth celebrating and honoring!
