You may have lost an hour of sleep when you turned the clocks forward for daylight saving time, but you gained an hour for spring fun! Whether your clan loves Broadway shows or spending time in the great outdoors, there’s a full week’s worth of family fun waiting to be had in the Spokane region.

Even though the Spokane region gets an average of 260 days of sunshine a year, there’s always a possibility of a spring shower or two during your visit. If your goal is staying dry, there’s plenty of indoor fun to be had! If you’ve never played at an indoor trampoline park, prepare for some serious fun—and a serious workout. Check out Sky High Sports downtown, or Get Air Trampoline Park in NorthTown Mall.  If you prefer a slower wheeled experience, the region is home to a couple of classic roller rinks—Pattison’s North and Roller Valley.

If your family plans include soaking up sun in the outdoors, make Spokane your base camp. The Spokane region is home to a wealth of recreational activities, from biking to hiking. Cyclists will find 37 miles of blacktop heaven on the Centennial Trail, a paved pathway that winds through downtown Spokane, Riverside State Park and into Idaho. Hikers can enjoy 99 miles of hiking trails in the massive 13,919-acre Mt. Spokane State Park. For a perfect day to visit, try  April 22--it's Earth Day, and admission to all state parks is free!

beerStage & Screen
Not everyone is into creating their own entertainment. Some of us would rather kick back, relax and be entertained. If this is your style, you’re in luck—spring time is stage time in Spokane! Fans of comedy will enjoy the Spokane Civic Theatre’s production of The Fox on the Fairway, which runs from April 8-30. If classics are more your style, check out Ignite Community Theater’s version of Around the World in 80 Days—it’s a hit with young and old alike! Music fans will enjoy a performance from YouTube Sensation 2Cellos at the INB Performing Arts Center April 18, and the National Geographic Live! presentation by filmmaker Cedar Wright on April 19 will appeal to a wide range of audiences.
