As your destination marketing organization, we develop, direct and facilitate cooperative marketing programs that drive visitation to our region. We seek your input each year to refine the marketing and sales initiatives so that we can more effectively provide cohesive programs leveraging our resources. In essence, we amplify each other in the marketplace and together strengthen the destination positioning. A very important date for our strategic marketing plan is coming up: we have two input sessions planned and really want your perspective. Please attend one of the sessions. Come prepared to share what is working. Share the market intelligence you have (that we
need to become aware of) in order to proactively overcome a challenge or maximize an opportunity. What questions do you have for us? These input sessions are extremely helpful and we hope that you can attend.
Tuesday, June 30
Red Lion Hotel at the Park
First session: 1-2:30pm
Second session: 3-4:30pm
RSVP is not mandatory, but we would like to know who is coming so that we can plan for appropriate seating. Please call Jody Chambers at 509.472.9386 or email
firstname.lastname@example.org if you are planning to attend.

In May, the Visit Spokane sales team hosted 13 meeting planners representing 12 national and regional associations for a familiarization trip (FAM). The DoubleTree Hotel Spokane City Center was the host hotel and did an outstanding job of making our attendees feel right at home. The FAM included touring the Spokane Convention Center and convention hotels with 10,000+ sq. ft. of meeting space, a progressive dinner that ended with dessert on the INB stage, a tour of the Spokane region and a winemaker's dinner at Arbor Crest. (Special thanks to our winemaker table hosts: Jim van Loben Sels of Arbor Crest Wine Cellars, Greg Lipsker of Barrister Winery, Natalie Barnes of Latah Creek Wine
Cellars and Josh Wade of Nectar Tasting Room).
Following the FAM, Visit Spokane secured seven RFPs from the guest planners, representing 13,648 room nights, and secured one definite booking for 1,620 room nights. Our team is continuing to cultivate these groups with a goal to capture additional leads and definite business for Spokane.
