With 90+ miles of hiking and biking trails and plenty of skiing to be had once the snow falls, Mt. Spokane State Park is a must-visit for all outdoor adventure seekers. Make it to the top (5,883 ft. elevation) and give your eyes a workout of their own as you take in the breathtaking views that stretch to neighboring states and beyond (oh, hey, Canada!).  More about Mt. For a bonus trip on your way back to town from the mountain, stop by Green Bluff for the Apple Festival. A 40+ farm cooperative you won't want to miss, the farms feature u-pick apples, corn mazes, punkin' chunkin' and more.

Best part about mountain biking in the fall? You get to see the changing colors of autumn up close as you weave through tree-lined trails. Here's a great list of the dozens of mountain biking trails throughout the Spokane region. More bike info. can be found here.
