Visit Spokane Announces New Marketing Director

(March 28, 2018) -- Visit Spokane is pleased to announce Jamie Rand has joined the destination marketing organization as Marketing Director. 

Jamie is excited to use his new role to promote Spokane as an ideal destination to visit and conduct business. Tourism is an important component of economic development and he will play a key role in successfully developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to expand regional prosperity.

He recognizes that tourism and conventions are important
to our quality of life and economy. He appreciates the local tax relief visitor spending affords our residents.

“Jamie will be a great addition to the team. He brings marketing expertise, a passion for the region and fresh ideas," said Cheryl Kilday, Visit Spokane President & CEO. “His experience managing tourism strategies and overseeing their implementation makes him well suited for the job.”

Prior to joining Visit Spokane, Jamie worked as a publisher for News Media Corporation in Newport, Oregon. He also worked as a marketing consultant for the City of Newport and Salishan Spa and Golf Resort. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Jamie also has a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Judson University.

“I'm looking forward to working hard to promote greater Spokane and expand awareness of the region,” said Jamie. “Moving to Spokane has been an adventure and I'm excited to explore and experience everything this area has to offer.”
