Gliding across the ice at Spokane’s Skate Ribbon in Riverfront Park is one of our favorite winter activities. In addition to regular skating hours, the ribbon also has a great lineup of activities like free lessons and theme nights that make the long winter months a little more fun. Free Ice Skating Lessons

Join experienced instructor, Valerie Anderson, for free beginning ice skating lessons on the Ice Ribbon every Saturday & Sunday (Dec.1 - Feb.24) or Thursday's (Dec. 27 - Feb.28). Developed for guests over five years old, skaters learn basic skating skills and develop the ABC’s of movement – agility, balance and coordination (ages 3-5 allowed with parent included in lessons). Class size is limited to 15 guests to ensure quality instruction. Sessions run 30 minutes between 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (Saturdays and Sundays) and between 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM (Thursdays). Come early to the SkyRibbon Café to reserve your spot, these fill up fast!

 
Theme Night Thursdays

Thursday is theme night at the Ice Ribbon! Dress in themed apparel for a $1 discount off Ice Ribbon admission. Food specials, music and more surprises! Every Thursday, December 6 - February 28.

 
49° North Ice Lounge Happy Hour

Join us for the 49 Degrees North Ice Lounge Happy Hour at the Sky Ribbon Cafe on Fridays, 5-8pm, December-February. Participants will receive one free raffle ticket with every happy hour drink purchased. Two lucky happy hour goers will win a pair of 49 Degrees North lift tickets every Friday! Winners do not have to be present to claim their prize. The Ice Lounge Happy Hour raffle is for ages 21+.
