On Monday, April 29th at 7:30 PM, the Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra will present its season finale. Conducted by Kevin Hekmatpanah, the performance will take place at the new Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center, located at 211 E Desmet Ave on the Gonzaga Campus.
The event will feature winners of the Young Artists’ Concerto/Aria Competition winners; soprano Rachael Gowen and mezzo-soprano Katrina Baber performing Chausson’s La Nuit as well as violinist Rylan Virnig performing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3. The program will also include Beethoven’s celebratory Overture to the Consecration of the House, Rimsky-Korsakov’s virtuosic Russian Easter Overture and Respighi’s powerful Pines of Rome.
