Spanish Nights with the Spokany Symphony

  • overview

It's been said that the best French music is written by French composers! After traveling in Spain, composer Chabrier wrote "Espana," a colorful work that kicked off the fashion for Hispanic-flavored music. It will be performed in this Spokane Symphony concert, with the theme, "Spanish Nights," conducted by Music Director Eckart Preu, with guest violinist Aleksey Semenenko. Halo's "Symphonie Espagnole" will showcase our guest artist's brilliance and sensitivity. Take a trip to Spain with the Spokane Symphony this weekend. Details of the music can be found at, and be sure to attend the pre-concert talk by Conductor Preu one hour before the concert at The Fox.
