The Spokane Jazz Orchestra is a traditional big band that performs one of the most entertaining, annual concert series in the Inland Northwest, for jazz enthusiasts and music lovers alike. Founded in 1975, the Spokane Jazz Orchestra has a deep musical history in the Inland Northwest, that goes back to the 1960’s. It’s the longest, continuously performing, community supported jazz orchestra in the United States.
Concert goers can expect to hear performances of classic big bands and jazz legends as well as modern jazz ensembles. The SJO also features stylings and arrangements from other musical genres and local artists.
Milonga was founded in the summer of 2001 by Spokane native Nicolas Vigil, and has since become a household name throughout the Pacific NW. The band plays original songs, based on the musical traditions of Latin America, Spain, and the Caribean. Milonga's focus is to expose diverse audiences to a Pan-Latin musical and cultural experience.
