The Spokane Symphony's second classics concert of the year, The Red Violin, features celebrated violin virtuoso Elizabeth Pitcairn, owner of the legendary Red Mendelssohn Stradivarius, or "Red Violin" who will perform a work from the film, "The Red Violin." Also on the program, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 and Tan Dun's Symphonic Poem of 3 Notes (2011). Resident Conductor Morihiko Nakahara, who is one of the five finalists for Music Director will be conducting. This concert is on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, Oct. 7 at 3:00 pm. Pre-concert talk is one hour before the concert from the stage of Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox.
