The Spokane Symphony continues the tradition of summer evening concerts on the lawn at Arbor Crest Wine Cellars' Cliff House Estate on Wednesday, August 15 and Wednesday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. with Soirees on the Edge. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. so concertgoers can get a good location on the lawn and enjoy a picnic supper. There is a different music program for each of the concerts. Music details will be announced soon, and will include a mixture of blockbusters by classical music masters and works by contemporary composers. Under the baton of Resident Conductor Morihiko Nakahara, the Symphony will perform while concertgoers picnic on the grass or in the tent, sip Arbor Crest's award-winning wines or beer on tap, and relish the stunning sunset views. Bring your own food or purchase onsite; all coolers and containers are subject to inspection and only unopened, commercially sealed, non-alcoholic beverages may be brought in. INDIVIDUAL TICKETS GO ON SALE JUNE 21. This event is for ages 21 and over. No pets allowed, although service animals are welcome. Parking is free. (www.arborcrest.com, www.spokanesymphony.org) General admission lawn seating is $20 (bring your own blanket or chair) and reserved table seating under the vineyard tent where the Symphony performs is $50.
