Rising Tide, a Collaborative Night of Dance

Sep 28th

Rising Tide is a collaborative evening of dance and a celebration of the female

choreographic voice featuring the work of five local female choreographers representing a wide variety of dance styles. Inspired by the proverb, “A rising tide lifts all boats,” this performance was created by the dance community for the audience to experience professional dance in Spokane that is simultaneously fierce and enfolding, challenging, and uplifting.

CarliAnn Bruner is a professor of dance at Gonzaga University and a freelance contemporary choreographer and dancer.

Sarah Glesk is a professor of dance at Gonzaga University and Whitworth University and teaches at several local dance studios. Monica Mota is the founder and artistic director of Quiero Flamenco Dance Company. Lexie Powell is the artistic director of Vytal Movement Dance. Melanie Rose Huff is a dancer and choreographer for Vytal Movement Dance. These women, along with 27 local dancers, come together for an exciting evening of dance

focusing on the female voice at The Bing Crosby Theater.
