The Cult

The Cult evolved from a Gothic post-punk outfit to England’s leading hard rock revivalist act. The band debuted with Dreamtime in 1984, but it was their follow-up album, Love, that amplified their hard rock direction and saw chart success with the breakout single "She Sells Sanctuary." In 2014, the group launched a triumphant global tour, culminating in an intense, uplifting performance at Coachella, hailed as "the messianic moment" of the festival by Rolling Stone magazine. Most recently, the band celebrated the release of its tenth studio album, Hidden City, in 2016, and its newest album, Under the Midnight Sun, in 2022.
