Tourism Economics

This 2018 study measures the economic impact of tourism in Spokane County. The study region is defined as Spokane County, which has a population of 508,000, of which 220,000 residents, or 43.3% of the total, live in the City of Spokane. Other key population centers include the City of Spokane Valley with just under 96,000 residents, and Liberty Lake with a population of 10,400.

Randall Travel Marketing

In 2012, Randall Travel Marketing executed a year-long comprehensive travel research study on Spokane County. This executive summary shares key highlights, including: a lodging study, destination reconnaissance and mystery shopping, attraction manager surveys, inquiry conversion study, visitor intercept interviews by market segment, convention study (conducted by the Radcliffe Company) and a performance review of Visit Spokane. These results help direct our efforts to effectively market the Spokane region by identifying our tourism drivers, visitor demographics and supply and demand cycles.

Destination Analysts is a powerful resource that drives significant visitation to the Spokane region. Visit Spokane's Website ROI Study, from Destination Analysts, uses survey information to demonstrate web users' demographic information, length of stay, referral source, traveler type, duration of stay, seasonality and economic generation in creating new visitor demand and increasing length of stay.
