    A non-profit organization founded in 1954 that endeavors to establish high standards of design, workmanship and business practice among regional artisans. NWDC promotes public interest in the crafts and provides a voice for the craftsmen in the five state Northwest region. Artists in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska who work professionally in clay, wood, glass, metal, fiber and/or mixed media are members. Other members support the crafts in the Pacific Northwest as educators, managers of non-profit arts organizations, or buyers of art.
