Live Entertainment & Performing Arts in Spokane

When you visit Spokane, you enter an urban hub where art is an essential and rewarding part of everyday life. Creativity, enterprise, and ambition are all important to us, as is clearly evident in our vibrant performing arts scene. No trip to Spokane could truly be complete without sampling what our live entertainment has to offer.

Symphony

For an authentic cultural experience, look no further than the Spokane Symphony. The largest performing arts organization in the Inland Northwest, this exceptional seventy-piece orchestra performs more than sixty concerts annually. Their musical selections include classical, pops, chamber orchestra, and the Nutcracker Ballet each holiday season, often performed with world-renowned soloists. Over 150,000 people attend the Spokane Symphony each year – shouldn't you be one of them?

Improv Theater

Not everything about the arts is serious. When you are in need of a good laugh, the Blue Door Theatre in northwest Spokane is the place to be. After two decades of improv experience, the Blue Door is an expert in delighting audiences. Their players perform live comedy every weekend, taking suggestions from the audience in order to improvise uniquely hilarious skits. It is also notable that the Blue Door Theatre is non-profit and entirely volunteer-run; a perfect example of the cooperative, hardworking dreamers found here in Spokane.

Broadway Theater

Thanks to Spokane there is no need to travel to all the way to New York to see a Broadway show – we bring the best of the best to the Northwest. Our Best of Broadway series, presented by WestCoast Entertainment, stages your favorite Broadway shows and new hit plays at the INB Performing Arts Center. A 2,700 seat theater situated right downtown, it is the perfect destination to take in both musical and dramatic performances. Their state-of-the-art equipment will allow you to treasure every note and relish in every costume change. Most importantly, the nature of Spokane means that a gripping night of theater can also be a carefree night out on the town.

What is it that makes Spokane special? Our driven, creative residents. Their artistic visions and innovative events mean that there is always something new and different happening in our city center. Won't you join us for dinner and a show?
