Visit Spokane Welcomes Kim Ritten

Kim-HeadshotKim Ritten has been named Regional Director of National Accounts for Visit Spokane, the region's destination marketing organization in Spokane, Wash. The new position is based in Chicago.

"This gives us the Midwest presence that we have been seeking for some time," said Cheryl Kilday, Visit Spokane President & CEO. "Since so many associations are headquartered in the Midwest, this will provide many more opportunities to get in front of meeting planners and convince them to bring their business to Spokane."

Kim has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including work at major brand hotels like Marriott and Hilton.

"Kim's substantial amount of expertise in sales and tourism made hiring her an easy decision," said Keith Backsen, Visit Spokane Vice President of Sales and Services. "We are fortunate to have someone on our team who will bring so much knowledge to the new position."

Prior to joining Visit Spokane, Kim was Senior Director of Sales for Visit Jacksonville.

"I could not be more pleased with having the opportunity to join the Visit Spokane team," said Kim. "It's exciting to be in the midst of such a lucrative meetings market. A lot of people already know what a gem the Spokane region is, but for those who don't, I'm ready to introduce them to the destination and convince them to choose Spokane for their next meeting."
