National Award for Spokane Convention Sales Professional
Kelsey Soukup Recognized in Washington, DC

Kelsey-S-AwardVisit Spokane is pleased to announce Kelsey Soukup as the recipient of the Shawn Corwin-Myland Award. Kelsey is a Director of National Accounts at the Spokane Convention Center and is a member of the Visit Spokane team. She was recognized at the Convention Sales Professionals International (CSPI) Annual Conference, February 11 in Washington, D.C.

The award is CSPI's top recognition for outstanding service in the convention sales industry. Nominated by the CSPI board of directors, the recipient is someone who provides exemplary service to clients.

"Kelsey is bright, professional and knows precisely what clients want," said Keith Backsen, Visit Spokane's Vice President of Sales & Services. "Besides that, she's all about the positive and brings a great deal of enthusiasm to her work. I'm not surprised that she was chosen for this award."

Shawn Corwin-Myland was a convention industry professional who died of cancer. Shawn was known to be friendly and someone who always went above and beyond to help others. The award was created by CSPI to honor her work in the convention sales industry.

In addition to her role as Director of National Accounts, Kelsey is also a designated Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP).

"I'm completely shocked to have received this award," said Kelsey. "To be in such great company with the previous's a true honor."
