Live professional boxing returns to Coeur d’Alene Casino in honor of the casino’s 25th anniversary. The night will include a tribute to the memory of Moe Smith, who was integral in bringing boxing to the casino in 1996. A former wrestler turned Vegas promoter, Smith partnered with Coeur d’Alene Casino to brand the House of Fury, which attracted big name fighters like WBC light heavyweight champion Montell “Ice” Griffin, cruiserweight professional and Spokane native Frank Vassar and iconic ring announcer Michael Buffer known for his “let’s get ready to rumble” intro. Boxing saw an incredible comeback with sold-out stadiums and Coeur d’Alene Casino is hoping to bring that excitement for a night. House of Fury is set for Thursday, March 1 at 7 p.m. The night will feature a cruiserweight title fight featuring Spokane’s own Pat Ferguson. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $40 for reserved and $60 for gold reserved. Hotel packages are available.
