The Memorial Day Cluster is one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier dog show weekends, drawing exhibitors, judges, vendors, and spectators from across the United States and Canada. Hosted in partnership by the Spokane Kennel Club and the Coeur d’Alene Dog Fanciers, this five-day event celebrates the beauty, skill, and athleticism of purebred dogs—offering something for everyone from serious competitors to families looking for a fun, dog-filled day out.

Five Days of Competition & Events

The 2026 schedule kicks off Thursday, May 21 with a day dedicated to Specialty Shows and Performance Events, where individual breed clubs showcase their top dogs in focused competition. From Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25, the event shifts into high gear with four days of AKC All-Breed Conformation Shows, Obedience Trials, Rally, and other crowd-favorite performance events.

Highlights include:

National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS) Regional – One of only eight regional events in the country, showcasing top owner-handled dogs.

Fast CAT & Fetch – High-energy events where dogs chase a lure or retrieve in timed runs.

Junior Showmanship & Pee Wee Classes – Inspiring the next generation of handlers.

Meet the Breed – Educational booths where the public can learn about a variety of dog breeds, their history, and responsible ownership.

Health Clinics – Eye, heart, OFA, and reproductive services available to exhibitors.

Dock Diving - A great activity to share with your best friend! You throw your dog’s favorite toy into a pool while he waits on a dock about 40 feet long. On command, he runs across the dock and jumps off the end of it, lands in the water, and grabs his toy. The goal? To have the longest jump possible - see everything from a 2-foot, to a 30-foot jump!

The Memorial Day Cluster is as much a community celebration as it is a competition. Visitors can enjoy shopping along Vendor Row, where more than 25 specialty vendors offer dog-related merchandise, pet care products, gifts, and local artisan goods. The Plaza Grill serves up delicious eats, and their is a coffee bar, too.

Held at the spacious Spokane County Fair & Expo Center, the event utilizes over 120,000 square feet of climate-controlled indoor space plus expansive outdoor lawns and grooming areas. With easy access from I-90, ample parking, and on-site RV facilities, the venue provides convenience for exhibitors and visitors alike.
