Next, students will prepare perfectly seasoned sushi rice and learn to shape nigiri, one of the most iconic forms of sushi. From there, you will roll two classic sushi maki rolls and learn the fundamentals of working with nori, bamboo mats, and balanced fillings.

Students will learn techniques used by sushi chefs so they can recreate sushi confidently at home. By the end of class, each guest will have a colorful platter of sushi including nigiri, a spicy tuna roll, and a vibrant rainbow roll.

Reeva is a sushi chef and food photographer who enjoys helping folks understand both the technique and visual artistry behind sushi. She will share simple plating tips so sushi looks just as beautiful on the plate as it does on Instagram!
