Veterans Day Ceremony
Nov 11th
The ceremony will feature local dignitaries and Spokane Navy Veteran Brian Garvey, whose design earned second place among more than 220 entries in VA’s national Veterans Day poster competition. The poster depicts three generations of his family – Garvey, his son, and his father. More than 100 Veterans received autographed copies at the recent seventh annual Spokane Veterans Stand Down, and copies will also be available at the Veterans Day ceremony. Spokane VA and Garvey will join Washington State Fallen Heroes, Spokane County Veteran Services, the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, and Second Harvest to recognize the service and sacrifices of Veterans and their families.
