Riverside State Park’s trail system offers hikes for all ages and abilities, with single track trails, two track fire roads, and the paved Centennial Trail (handicapped accessible). Trails are marked for use, and all trail users yield to horses.

The Little Spokane River is restricted to kayaks, canoes and rafts. Inner tubes are not allowed. Approved flotation devices are mandatory for all paddlers and boaters. Canoes & kayaks can be rented at the Nine Mile Recreation Area for $25 a day May 15 - Sept 15.

Riverside State Park is perfect for equestrians, with a dedicated Equestrian Area, Equestrian Campground with special horse friendly accommodations including a handicapped mounting platform, newly renovated riding arena, and gateway to miles and miles of trails. Nearly every mile of trails in the Park is excellent for riding, except the rocky area adjacent to the Bowl and Pitcher and the ORV Area.
