  • Founded in 1890, Whitworth University has a 200-acre campus located in north Spokane. Whitworth is a private, residential, liberal arts university that is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and currently has 2,400 students enrolled. Whitworth offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs. Some of its strongest programs are in education, theology and music. Whitworth has many student clubs as well music and theatre opportunities. The Whitworth Pirates’ sports teams allow students to compete in several sports in the Northwest Conference of NCAA’s Division III. 509.777.1000
