Spokane is Hooptown USA which is a good indicator that we love sports. Home to the Spokane Indians Baseball Club, Spokane Chiefs Hockey, Gonzaga Basketball, and host to major events like March Madness, Hoopfest, and PNQ volleyball, fans will find sporting events to attend throughout the year.
Spokane Indians Baseball
Head to the ballpark for America’s favorite pastime with the Spokane Indians, a high-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The Indians host home games at Avista Stadium, where you'll enjoy the smell of fresh-cut grass and classic ballpark food. Spokane's long summer nights are perfect for taking in a game of baseball, and the club is known for its family-friendly themed game days. If you see fireworks on the schedule, buy your tickets early because they sell out fast!
Spokane Chiefs Hockey
The Spokane Chiefs are one of many sports franchises that have captured our community. The major junior ice hockey team plays its home games at the Spokane Arena. Bundle up for some time rinkside! Games at Spokane Arena provide something for everyone, including the kiddos! There’s fun family entertainment and a cool mascot, Boomer the Bear.
Spokane is a proud home of many collegiate athletic teams, so there are always games to catch. The Gonzaga Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams are forever a Spokane favorite due to their many appearances at March Madness. Local bars fill up on Gonzaga Basketball game day, so get there early or get tickets and watch courtside at the McCarthey Athletic Center.
Eastern Washington Football
The Eastern Washington Eagles football team plays in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. The Eagles are members of the Big Sky Conference and play home games at Roos Field in Cheney, WA. Their field is known for being the only stadium in college football with red turf.
