From May to October, Spokane farmers markets are filled with everything from fresh veggies to flowers. Many of these farms operate on a seasonal basis, beginning during the spring, thriving through summer, and lasting until the beginning of fall in October. Some continue to sell their harvest during the winter with indoor markets through the cold months.

Spokane's newest market opens May 31, 2025, and is truly something you don't want to miss. The Scale House Market is an innovative community space that transformed a landmark building into our region's first permanent, year-round farmers market and agricultural hub. More than just a market, the space will host nutrition education, events, activities, and cultural experiences. The indoor mercantile will be open Wednesdays - Sundays, while the Outdoor Market will operate seasonally through mid-October, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Hours vary daily. Please visit the website for details.

Check out Kendall Yards Night Market (1335 W Summit Parkway) for an evening twist on the traditional farmers market. Taking place on Wednesday nights, this gathering promises fresh produce alongside food vendors, live music, and events. In addition to providing your dinner and entertainment for the night, seize the opportunity to scoop up locally made artisan crafts like fragrant handmade soaps or freshly roasted coffee.

Another option for assembling fresh food for a complete farm-to-table meal is the Thursday Market in the South Perry District (924 S Perry Street). On Fridays, visit Spokane’s oldest farmers market, Emerson-Garfield (1120 W Alice Ave), near the Garland District. On Saturdays, stroll through the Spokane Farmers Market (2195 W Second Avenue) in Coeur d’Alene Park or the Liberty Lake Farmers Market (1421 N Meadowwood Lane). Spokane Valley Farmers Market (2426 N Discovery Place) is always held on Friday evenings.

Consider the farmers' markets in Spokane as a hyper-local means of getting to know the city.
