Bloomsday Weekend Itinerary

Spokane runs on high octane the first weekend of every May. We pulled an itinerary of things to see and experience while you’re here for the big race.

Friday, May 3 2024

3:00 pm: Arrive in Spokane and check into your hotel

3:30 pm:
Walk to Brick West Brewing (1318 W First Avenue) to sit on the outdoor patio and have a craft beer and pretzel bites.

5:00 pm:
Pop into the Nike Store (618 W Main Avenue) or Fleet Feet Running (1315 W Summit Parkway) for last minute running accessories.

6:00 pm:
Dinner at David’s Pizza (803 W Mallon Avenue).

Saturday, May 4 2024

9:00 am: Shake out run, or walk on The Centennial Trail. Start in Riverfront Park and head east toward Gonzaga University.

10:30 am:
Breakfast at Frank’s Diner (1516 W Second Avenue). Who doesn’t love to take their eggs whilst sitting in a fancy old rail car?

11:30 am:
Pick up your packet at the Bloomsday Trade Show at the Spokane Convention Center.

1:00 pm:
Wander through Riverfront Park. Feed the Garbage Goat, slide down the giant Red Wagon and ride the Looff Carrousel.

2:00 pm:
Ride the Numerica SkyRide over the Spokane Falls. The best viewing times are April-June. Explore Riverfront and Huntington Park.

2:30 pm:
Pop into Atticus Coffee (222 N Howard Street) for an afternoon snack and chai latte.

3:00 pm:
Check out the Expo ‘74 50th Anniversary Opening Ceremony in Riverfront Park

4:30 pm:
Take a nap at your hotel.

5:30 pm:
Dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory (152 S Monroe Street). Carbo load the night before the big race, but don’t pull a Michael Scott from The Office and gorge on fettucine alfredo.

7:00 pm:
Head to the US Pavilion in Riverfront Park for a free concert with Kalimba an Earth, Wind and Fire tribute band.

Sunday, May 5 2024

8:00 am: Light breakfast at your hotel coffee shop.

9:00 am:
Run Bloomsday and try not to pull a hammy

Noon:
Post run rejoicing at O’Doherty’s Irish Pub (525 W Spokane Falls Boulevard).
