Frank's Diner Downtown

Frank's Diner is Washington's oldest dining car restaurant, serving up award winning breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from 6am to 9pm. Young and old delight in stepping onto our fully restored railroad cars - and taking a step back in time - while enjoying items from our delicious scratch prepared menu. Come discover why Frank's Diner has been voted Best Breakfast by The Inlander's best of reader's poll for 18 years and counting.

Our History: In 1931, Frank Knight purchased our Downtown location's NO. 1797 and converted it to a dining car. It was built in 1906 and purchased in 1909 for the President of the Northern Pacific Railroad, but had languised stranded in Seattle since 1931. Frank's Northside Car (NO. 4216) was built in 1913 with all the presidential elegance of its older brother. With over 100 years of dining elegance, we are proud our customers choose to share their days with us.
