Hoopfest Weekend Itinerary

Spokane transforms into Hooptown, USA, annually during the last weekend of June. If you're planning to play, make the most of it. Here are some suggestions for a slam dunk weekend.

Thursday, June 27 2024

3:00 pm: Arrive in Spokane and check into your hotel.

4:00 pm:
Team check-in at The Plaza area in the Spokane Pavilion inside Riverfront Park.

5:00 pm:
O’Doherty’s Irish Grille (525 W Spokane Falls Boulevard) for a celebratory beer and a world-famous Reuben. Go over your bracket! They’ll let you staple a dollar to the wall if you stand on the bar and sing.

Friday, June 28 2024

9:00 am: Head to Cafe Coco (24 W Main Ave, Spokane, WA 99201) for morning coffee and delicious pastry to kick-off the day.

11:00 am:
Team check-in is also available on this day at The Plaza area in the Spokane Pavilion inside Riverfront Park.

11:30 am:
Ride the Numerica SkyRide (507 N Howard Street) over the Spokane Falls. The best viewing times are April through June. Then, explore Riverfront and Huntington Park.

12:00 pm:
Play on the giant Radio Flyer Red Wagon, feed the Garbage Goat, ride the Looff Carrousel.

1:00 pm:
Pop into River Park Square (808 W Main) for shopping and lunch at one of the many restaurants scattered throughout.

5:00 pm:
Dinner at The Onion Taphouse & Grill (302 W Riverside Avenue).

Saturday, June 29 2024

8:00 am - 7:00 pm: Let the controlled chaos begin. May the odds ever be in your favor. Don’t break a leg. It’s every person for themselves. Remember your sunscreen. Be nice. You know the drill.

7:30 pm:
If you’re still standing, might we recommend a casual dinner at Iron Goat Brewing (1302 W Second Avenue), The Elk Public House (1931 W Pacific Aveune), or Wisconsinburger (916 S Hatch Street)?

Sunday, June 30 2024

7:00 am: Light breakfast at your hotel or a local coffee shop.

8:00 am:
Drag your bruised body to the court for the last day of games.

1:00-4:00 pm:
Watch the Toyota Shoot-Off just north of the orange bridge in Riverfront Park.

3:00-3:30 pm:
Don’t miss the MultiCare Slam Dunk contest at Northern Quest Center Court.

3:30 pm:
The Championship games begin at Northern Quest Center Court.

7:00 pm:
Dinner with family and friends at No-Li Brewhouse (1003 E Trent Avenue). Begin plotting your next Hoopfest strategy.
