Our History: In 1931, Frank Knight purchased our Downtown location's NO. 1797 and converted it to a dining car. It was built in 1906 and purchased in 1909 for the President of the Northern Pacific Railroad, but had languised stranded in Seattle since 1931. Frank's Northside Car (NO. 4216) was built in 1913 with all the presidential elegance of its older brother. With over 100 years of dining elegance, we are proud our customers choose to share their days with us.
