Enjoy a day filled with traditional music and dance performances, authentic Armenian cuisine, cultural exhibits, and family-friendly activities. Hosted as part of the Downtown Mini Cultural Grant Series, this free event invites the community to experience the vibrant heritage and warm hospitality of Armenia.
What is Vardavar?
Vardavar is a traditional Armenian festival that dates back to pagan times and continues to be celebrated today, blending ancient customs with Christian tradition. Most famously known as the “water festival,” Vardavar involves people of all ages joyfully splashing water on one another in the streets, parks, and public squares—symbolizing purification, renewal, and goodwill.
