Attend the screening of Nelly Queen: The Life and Times of Jose Sarria. This screening is held in honor of the 50th anniversary of Expo' 74 and the participation of Jose Sarria in it. Sarria was a World War II veteran, a cabaret performer, human rights activist and the first out candidate for public office when he ran in 1961. He was also a resident of Spokane during Expo '74, where he ran Pierre's Interlude with his business partner Pierre Parker.
