For the last 20 plus years, The Inland Empire Gardeners have sponsored a citywide garden tour every June called Spokane in Bloom, the premiere garden tour, featuring garden-related vendors in the gardens, artists, and live music. The tour provides self-guided opportunities to explore, relax and enjoy, giving people a sneak peek into a fellow gardener's vision and passion. Whether they're old or new, tiny or sprawling—gardens and the gardeners that tend them—offer opportunities for inspiration and learning that goes beyond anything found in a book or online. Nothing can take the place of seeing, smelling, touching, and experiencing plants in their real-life garden settings. Participation in the tour generates a community-wide awareness of gardening, garden design, and plant trends.
