We work directly with Tourism Economics, the global leader in tourism research and data, to secure an annual report on the Economic Impact of Tourism. Their collaborative efforts ensure accurate and comprehensive insights into the region’s tourism dynamics.
VISITOR SPENDING IMPACT
In 2024, a record-breaking 10.1 million visitors spent an average of $152 per visit in Spokane County, totalling $1.53 billion in direct visitor spending. This was an increase of 3.6% over the prior year.
TOTAL ECONOMIC IMPACT
Tourism’s direct spending impact of $1.53 billion generated $840 million in indirect and induced impacts, resulting in a total economic impact of $2.4 billion in Spokane County in 2024.
ECONOMIC BENEFIT TO SPOKANE COUNTY RESIDENTS
The total economic impact sustained 17,997 jobs and $658 million in labor income. It generated $233 million in state and local tax revenues, resulting in $1080 in household tax relief for Spokane County residents.
