VISITOR SPENDING IMPACT

Visitors to Spokane County spent $1.4 billion in 2022, an increase of 16% over the prior year. Visitor volumes increased 1%, bolstered the overnight market (+7%). Visitor spending
reached 102% of 2019 levels, with visitor volumes totaling 99% of pre-pandemic levels.

TOTAL ECONOMIC IMPACT
Tourism’s direct spending impact of $1.4 billion generated a total economic impact of $2.2 billion in Spokane County in 2022. This total economic impact included over 17,400 jobs,
and $219 million in state and local tax revenues in 2022.
